Luxe Private Residence Wedding

After an intense search that spanned two states, the perfect setting for the couple’s wedding was at home. We transformed their newly remodeled home, both indoor and out, to create an intimate, welcoming environment.

The bride and groom loved good food, both from the South, and the East Coast, so we included small details throughout. You can’t go wrong with a classic, script logo, and we incorporated it on the invitation, napkins, coffee sleeves and their wedding website.

This was such a fun wedding to plan and was a three day installation! Thank you to my creative team for their hard work!

Ceremony Backdrop Ideas

The ceremony… the reason we’re all gathered together on your wedding day! Indoor/ outdoor, church altar, vineyard, depending on the environment where you’re saying I DO will dictate the type of decor you bring in as a backdrop. Here are some ideas from past weddings!

Two Columns with Floral at Hotel Galvez

Gold framed columns for a ceremony backdrop with red floral at Hotel Galvez

The Oleander Garden at Hotel Galvez is an intimate space perfect for your outdoor ceremony. There are palm trees, lush landscape and a gorgeous water feature. We highlighted the altar space by bringing in two gold frame columns, topped with gold fluted vases and green and burgundy floral. Gorgeous!

Four Glass Columns with White Draping at Station 3

Station 3 Altar backdrop with four glass columns and white and green floral

For this wedding, we were combining the look of the industrial venue, but adding in an organic feel for the floral. We wanted this to be a big statement, as well as perfectly fit at the back drop for the cakes later in the night!

Greenery everywhere! In the Chapel at The Vine

Greenery on the pillars in a chapel

One word: Greenery. Everywhere. We draped it from the ceiling, wrapped the pillars and the cross at the alter. This made for a cozy ceremony and added warmth to the space.

Full Floral Arch at Rancho Mirando (Texas Hill Country)

Floral Arch for a ceremony backdrop in the Hill Country

This was the perfect focal point for the ceremony which overlooked the hill country. We needed a place to center the altar and bring the eyes to focus on where the couple would be. The lush florals and chandelier were stunning!

Modern Asymmetrical Floral with Curved Chairs at Asia Society Museum

Curved ceremony chairs with a low altar arrangement

This was SUCH a fun ceremony set up! Mi Bella Rosa created this gorgeous, asymmetrical floral that curved around the couple for the altar area. That combined with the curved chair set up created a really unique and intimate ceremony space.

Katie + Matt | Chapel Dulcinea, Perry's Steakhouse Austin

Katie and Matt approached me with their wedding ideas of keeping the ceremony small, and intimate, while focusing the reception on great food and conversation. They chose the charming Chapel Dulcinea in Austin, which sits atop a hill and overlooks acres of trees. The views are amazing!

We made sure to give enough time for photos both at the Chapel, and in downtown, where they hosted their reception. Food and conversation were the most important, so they opted for a seated dinner at Perry’s Steakhouse downtown. After dinner and toasts, they moved on to 6th street to bar hop and dance!

Thank you for letting us help Coordinate your wedding day- it was such a pleasure to get to know you both!

Fall Wedding at the Houstonian: Megan + Matt

Talk about a fun couple! When Megan and Matt first met their DJ, Lewis with LG Event Entertainment and Production, the meeting ended in a rap battle- and it only got better from there!

We were brought on board to help execute their wedding at the Houstonian, with their ceremony planned for right out front of the iconic tree, and the reception to follow in the Grand Ballroom. Celebrating (and dancing) with their loved ones was the focus for the reception, and let’s just say they delivered on creating that memorable experience!

We had a surprise confetti cannon, glow in the dark glasses, party hats and a packed dance floor the entire evening. Thank you for choosing us to help you celebrate your marriage!

Spring Wedding in the Chapel at Ashton Gardens

Congratulations, Aubrey and Chris! They celebrated their wedding with family and friends in the stunning, white ballroom at Ashton Gardens West. Featuring entertainment from Dry Water Band, delicious cakes (one shaped like a taco) and lush, garden like floral- it was an evening to remember. The ladies wore soft blush gowns, which contrasted nicely against the navy blue suits for the groomsmen. A perfect combo for a spring wedding in Houston!

Thank you so much for trusting us with your stunning wedding!

The Cotton Gin No. 116's Christmas Party

Cotton Gin Christmas Party | Event Planners Houston

When the family who owns the gorgeous historic venue in Brookshire, The Cotton Gin No.116 approached us about a Grand Opening/ Christmas Party, we couldn’t wait on helping this place sparkle and shine with all of the Christmas decor you could want!

Since it was going to be a dual event, both celebrating officially opening as a venue, plus a Christmas party for the community and friends of the owners, we wanted to be sure everyone was well fed, enjoyed local entertainment and got to see the space fully decorated.

We worked with Mariela of Casa De Flores, another Brookshire -local company that’s also family owned, and they perfectly executed the Classic Christmas theme we envisioned. Traditional red and green, bows, tons of garland and a 12’ tree- it was stunning!

My Favorite Bridesmaids Gifts

My Favorite Bridesmaids Gifts

I get the question all of the time from my couples, “What should I give my wedding party as a thank you?”

These are the people closest to you, they’ve planned along side you for months now and you want to show your appreciation. My first suggestion is a hand written note. Add on a customized gift, and you’re set! I personally love gifts that the wedding party can use on the wedding day, and then thereafter, such as robes, makeup bags, cute cups, mugs and wine glasses. Or perhaps, a pretty necklace is more your style?

Either way, I’ve picked out some of my favorite gifts from Bridesmaidsgiftboutique.com! They graciously sent me my own customized gift so I could ensure that my brides would appreciate the experience of ordering and LOVE the product!

Makeup Bags

LOVE getting makeup bags… can you ever really have too many? I use them to keep organized in my purse, of course for traveling, and even for more organized packing. Add in wedding colors and my initials and I’m sold! I picked this bag for my gift as I liked the simple gold script. Order your own here.

Gift Sets

When something already comes beautifully packaged, I’m all about it. Yes, you could go buy all of the components separately, but why not let someone else do the work? I love the “getting ready” photos of everyone wearing a matching robe, and having a wine glass with your name on it really just makes it easier to find your beverage when there are 10 other mimosas in the room! Click here to shop!

Yoga Mats

One of the coolest ideas a bride has had for the morning of her wedding was hiring a personal yoga instructor to guide her wedding party through a slow, relaxing flow. They were able to start the day feeling refreshed! Get a personalized yoga mat for each of them - talk about unique! Buy them here.

We haven’t forgotten about the guys! Check out their sister (or brother, I should say) company for all of the fun, personalized gifts your groomsmen could want! The caricature faces on mugs are my favorite!

Modern Wedding at Asia Society Museum

We’ve held on to these gorgeous images for a few months now, as it was featured in the first issue of Brides of Houston Magazine which came out this month! So excited to share the special details of this fabulous wedding at Asia Society Museum!

Cindy wanted to keep with the minimalist vibe of the museum, while bringing in sweet details like their custom cake topper, and a unique floral installation for their ceremony. The colors were muted tones of peach, blue, pink and green, with tons of ivory and white.
